About this blog

This blog is based on my PhD research into student empowerment in the secondary mathematics classroom.

I summarise the seven chapters of my thesis over seven blogs. However I encourage reading the introduction, findings, discussion and conclusion chapters in full

I also share the developed strategies and resources that draw on the research.

This blog is part of the discussion on the potential our classrooms/schools have to empower young people to take control of their learning. You are invited to join the conversation with your comments, suggestions and views.
